Jodi is a native of Howard
County, Maryland and a proud graduate of the Howard County Public School System (HCPSS.) She earned a Master of Arts and Certificate
of Advanced Study in School Psychology from Towson University and worked for the HCPSS as a School Psychologist from 1989
to 2005. During her time with HCPSS, Jodi worked closely with many families impacted by autism spectrum disorder. She learned,
first hand, about the daily struggles many of these families face, and it was through these experiences that she began her
quest to find meaningful treatment that would bring about lasting changes for families. In the spring of 1999, Jodi earned
a graduate certificate from Johns Hopkins University in the Education of Students with Autism and Other Pervasive Developmental
Disorders. In the spring of 2004, while continuing her full-time employment with HCPSS, Jodi began her training with the Connections
Center in Houston, TX. Learning about the philosophy and research on which the Relationship Development InterventionŽ Program
is based was truly a life changing experience for Jodi. She then decided to devote all her professional energies to consulting
with families through RDIŽ and established her private practice (Peer Bridges, LLC) in the summer of 2004. Jodi completed
the supervision process in December of 2005 and became the first RDIŽ Program Certified Consultant in Maryland. Her private
practice is limited to RDIŽ consultation.
